​On-site Programs

Choir – Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
If you enjoy singing then you are welcome to join our choir.

​

Tuesday Prayer – 9:00 – 9:20 a.m.
If you would like to participate, stop what you are doing and/or pray ‘where ever you are’ each Tuesday morning. Please join in this prayer time led by Pastor Gen Heywood. 

​

2nd Saturday Book Club – 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. 
Everyone is invited to join in our Saturday Coffee Fellowship as we meet on the second Saturday of each month.  We start with a devotion followed by a book study or other ministry opportunities determined by the group throughout the year.  

​

Photography Workshops – 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. – 3rd Saturdays

If new to class, come early, 8:30 -9:00am and Gen will go over your camera basics with you

9am-10:30pm the fundamentals of photography (bring your camera and manual) 

10:30am – noon the fundamentals of editing (bring your computer). 

You are welcome to come to one or both workshops.

Other ways to be involved: All are welcome to attend church council meetings (usually the 3rd Sunday of the month after the service), help decorate the sanctuary for the different seasons of the church year, attend worship team meetings where we plan services and events, or to be part of the Community for Longevity which plans fundraisers and develops strategies for the church's financial security. Worship and CFL meeting times are announced during the Service & Fellowship Opportunities part of worship.

Community Support

We participate in the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March, Pride Parade,  food for Spokane Valley Partners, baby supplies for the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, and more. Ministry Partners

The Fig Tree is an independent, non-profit resource which covers stories of people in the faith and nonprofit communities of the Inland Northwest to break through divisions among people to promote unity and action for the common good.

​

N-Sid-Sen is a year-round camp and conference center located on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene in northern Idaho. The name comes from a phrase of the Coeur d’Alene native people meaning “Point of Inspiration”.   This incredibly beautiful site includes 270 acres and almost a mile of shore line.  It is a multi-use facility offering a variety of settings for programs and activities, located 30 miles from the City of Coeur D’Alene and 9 miles north of Harrison, on Highway 97.  N-Sid-Sen is owned and operated by the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Church of Christ.   It is available for the outdoor ministry and educational programs of the United Church of Christ as well as other church, civic and educational non-profit groups.

Faith Action Network is a multi-faith, non-profit organization though which thousands of people and over 160 faith communities across Washington State partner for the common good. Together, we are powerful voices of the faith and conscience advocating for a more just, peaceful, and sustainable world.

 

Faith Leaders and Leaders of Conscience is a community organization whose purpose is to be a moral voice spoken through a diverse group spiritual and non spiritual leaders

Monthly Donations

We collect donations for specific projects or organizations each month. These are our collections for 2023:

  • January: Baby shower for Jesus (Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery)

  • February: Rosa Parks' birthday (MLK Center)

  • March: Mardi Bras (Hope House)

  • April: Coats for Progress Elementary (to be delivered in the fall)

  • May: refill Blessing Box; continue collecting coats

  • June: birthday cake kits (Spokane Valley Partners)

  • July: school supplies for Progress Elementary

  • August: winter gear for adults (Hope House)

  • September: N-Sid-Sen

  • October: a local animal shelter

  • November: Salish School

  • December: birthday cake kits (Spokane Valley Partners)
